meri When each instrument is interweaving and bouncing off each other, Golden Fang are at their best, something which is achieved often on the album. Each note is measured and purposeful, even during the exploratory sections, Golden Fang never get carried away with faff and their head’s remain safely outside of their respective asses.

Sweet Dreams 03:28
People are softer than they used to be Meaner and more frightened than necessary Tables are smaller, days shorter And if you're hungry and starved of what you need Well Sweet dreams Sweet dreams will get you through. Are you ready to fall Have you got someone on call Are you able to be alone And some kind of shelter you can call a home Well Sweet dreams Sweet dreams will get you through. They say there’s safety in numbers I’m sure that's true But that's not for me and you Cause I’m not cowed or down Ohh I, I still believe in Sweet dreams Sweet dreams will get us through. Oh yeah God damn I care And Sweet dreams will get us through. And I know that’s true.

Breathe 03:11
Listen to me I’ll be anything you need Study has shown You're better off alone Step outside Baby see the light Well that’s the morning Time to get on home. And please be kind to yourself Be quiet for someone else And let yourself breathe Breathe Look who’s here Your pale horse has arrived Loaded up with cigarettes and beans Babe it’s everything you need This scene is cruel and mean Baby get inside And stay alive And please be kind to yourself Be quiet for someone else And let yourself breathe Breathe I can’t wait for holding hands I can’t wait for old hands, Hot sands cold beers and live bands I can’t wait for holding hands I can’t wait And please be kind to yourself Be quiet for someone else And let yourself breathe Breathe

The Night 03:45
I’m tired of beating hearts neath the floor This raven calling for more Hungry mouths and lights on in the hall Black cat she saw it all Bodies up against the wall That exquisite feeling at the start, start of the fall We ain't got a lot of choices Or any good answers So take your ball and run take your ball Out into the night See if we can find what's left of life out in the night Something out of the blue, borrowed still new I’m tired a swing and a miss This axe, it never hits Hey I’m walking here With someone I held dear I see you in the shadow, I think, I think I’ll follow. We ain't got a lot of choices Or any good answers So take your ball and run take your ball Out into the night See if we can find what's left of life out in the night

Yellow sticker subway, somewhere to stay Red paint on the convent somewhere to lay There’s a bowl of rice looking for god In the bottom of a royal wedding ashtray One man's life is another's Small piece to play to play Move to the country There’s this sense that There’s no heartland anywhere And who's gonna tell you Don’t be that way Don’t be that way Bottle Brush, Old mate stuck in a rut Potpourri, painted know your place There’s a bowl of rice looking for god In the bottom of a royal wedding ashtray One man's life is another's Small price to pay Move to the country There’s this sense that There’s no heartland anywhere And who's gonna tell you Don’t be that way Don’t be that way Don’t be that way Don’t be that way Don't you be that way.

Teo's Day 05:16
There’s trees in his street, birds in the air And a cheeky little possum Who just don't care that it’s Teo’s day Oh yeah, it's Teo's day All the baby jellyfish Are coming out to play On Teo’s day Oh yeah, it's Teo's day Oooh Why can't we all just enjoy a nice wave Play some guitar Get lost in shades of grey Oh yeah, it's Teo's day

Oh sooner or later Nevada will flip He’ll lose his shit And we’re just gonna have to deal with it I’ll sleep it off All your problems All the problems you solved Last night All the votes are heading uptown The postman is coming down The clouds are still up in the sky Come on little birdies Let’s fly Let’s fly Oh sooner or later You’ll know You’ve been locked out You’re on your way home Still on your way home You stop for a nap And you wake up To the sun in your eyes And a cold kebab All the votes are heading uptown The postman is coming down The clouds are still up in the sky Come on little birdies Let’s fly Oh sooner or later You’ll realise You wasted half your life Worrying about politicians and a bunch of fucking lies Oh sooner or later You’ll know She’s the one You should never let her go Oh sooner or later

In dreams gone bad Nights not slept Lives not lived In lands unknown fields not sown We’re like ships at sea With no stars, no stars to be seen How far can you drift Before you're just nowhere How far can you fall From the edge of a chair Into the sweet release of Sleep and Dreams With no stars, no stars to be seen We’re living in dreams gone bad We’re living in dreams gone bad We’re living in dreams gone bad Ah Like ships at sea With no stars, no stars We’re all at sea With no stars, no stars No stars to be seen Falling, flying. The night. The night with no stars.

Adapted from a poem by Kay Orchison All the slaughterhouse animals know Is cinders and snow Straight from the knife The saddest end to the meanest life Lets see what we have learned From all that we’ve burned Polymers are forever Polymers are forever And you insist to persist that this is all a joke And that polymers Polymers are forever We get monsoons for April showers We asked for the cards, we got the tower Straight from the knife The saddest end to the meanest life Lets see what we have learned From all that we’ve burned Polymers are forever Polymers are forever And you insist to persist that this is all a joke And that polymers Polymers are forever It’s all we slaughterhouse animals know Cinders and snow oh no I don’t know
